Resolution 5/10/15k Run – Heaton Park, Manchester

Join us for this fabulous Sunday morning run in the beautiful Heaton Park, Manchester on Sunday 3rd March.

Whether you’re a novice runner or a seasoned runner, you can walk, jog or run the distance. The resolution run is for you.

The Stroke Association is a charity. We help survivors and their families and carers deal with the impact of stroke and fund research into the prevention and treatment of stroke. Help us change the lives and prevent stroke.

Resolution 5k/10k/15k Run – Trentham Gardens, Stoke-on-Trent

On Sunday 30th September the beautiful Trentham Gardens will be the location of our Resolution Run!

The course is flat and is suitable for both beginners and more seasoned runners. Whether you walk, jog or run the route the event is a fun approach to achieving your goals and improving your fitness.

To reward you for your hard work you will receive a medal and a Stroke Association T-Shirt to wear with pride on the day [runners can also choose to upgrade their T-shirt for a technical running vest for an additional £5].

Stroke is the UK’s third biggest killer and the leading cause of adult disability. By signing up for Resolution Run, taking regular exercise and following a healthier lifestyle, you will be reducing your own chances of having a stroke in the future.

Wild Warrior 10k adventure race

Following the outstanding success of the 2011 race calendar, aaa-adventure is thrilled to introduce a new event to their agenda in 2012. The new event aptly entitled ‘Wild Warrior’ is shaping up to be a real survival of the fittest.

A physically and mentally challenging 10K multi terrain trail run designed to test every inch of you, your body, your fitness levels, take you out of your comfort zone and put you through your paces, and the mud of course.

Along the way, you will have to scramble cargo nets, tackle tunnels of terror, balance the beams, wade through swamps and slide at speed into raging rivers and masses of mud. Warning: Do not wear white because not even Persil will be pleased to tackle your kit after one of these races!

This is the 4th year aaa-adventure have hosted these events, with success growing year on year as returning entrants can’t get enough of the thrills experienced during the 10k challenges.

All events are conveniently located in the inspiring countryside of the East Midlands with fearless entrants coming from all over the UK to battle the best obstacles and push themselves to the limits.

Cornwall Air Ambulance’s Runway Runaround

Get ready for take-off at our unique 10k running event ‘airside’ at Newquay Cornwall Airport. Experience running through hangars, past the terminal building and round the runway whilst raising vital funds to keep our helicopter flying! You will also run past the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust’s new helicopter hangar. If 10k seems a bit daunting there is a 4k ‘fun run’ option for children and adults alike.

Runners will be spoilt rotten at the finishing line with a FREE, well deserved pint from the Sharps bar, a bag full of goodies and pampered with a sports massage to ease those aching calf muscles! And if that wasn’t enough all runners will receive a commemorative medal and the first 200 runners to sign up will be the lucky owners of a limited Runway Runaround t-shirt (which will be as coveted as the Countdown teapot!!)

Why not make a day of it and bring your friends and family along to see you in action in the spectator viewing area where they can grab some food and enjoy cheering you on.
