Mad Monk X-Runner obstacle race is located within Darley Abbey world heritage village, an amazing location, set within the picturesque parklands along the banks of the River Derwent. The X-Runner Mad Monk will be returning to Darley Abbey for the fifth year, back by popular demand and at your request we’ve decided to make it even tougher. You mad mud runners are just not being punished enough so to scare you to race faster and harder we are going to throw you in the River Derwent so you will have to swim for your life, are you up for the challenge?

Wild Warrior 10k Obstacle Race

Wild Warrior eXtreme mud run and obstacle race is the first race event of 2013 and our newest running challenge in the race calendar. With the Mad Monk, Water Wipeout and Wild Thing already established as probably the toughest obstacle races on the planet, we know our newest event will rise to the challenge and be the toughest yet, so if you think you’re up for it then we challenge you brave warriors to tackle this eXtreme wild run.

Wild Warrior is located at Wild Park in Brailsford, an amazing location, set in a picturesque valley on the outskirts of the Peak District National Park. The area has undulating fields, wooded areas and plenty of water and mud to wade through. The location is perfect for a 5k or 10k trail run of this type. Ely Festive 5K – for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity

On 25th November why not come and join in the festivities at Ely Festive Fun Run? Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is welcoming walkers and runners alike to participate in this 5km fun run through the historic City of Ely. The race, open to all ages, will begin at Ely Market Square at 11am. There will be a raffle, and Santa himself may even make an appearance!

Prizes will be offered for the fastest male and female runner, and best fancy dress. All runners will receive a free Santa hat and finisher’s medal. To register head to www.arhc.org.uk, pick up a registration form today or call 01223 723115.

Entry is £10 per adult or £7 per child under the age of 16. Catering facilities will be available and there is an opportunity to enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie for a small donation at Archer House who are kindly sponsoring the event.

Resolution 5k/10k/15k Run – Trentham Gardens, Stoke-on-Trent

On Sunday 30th September the beautiful Trentham Gardens will be the location of our Resolution Run!

The course is flat and is suitable for both beginners and more seasoned runners. Whether you walk, jog or run the route the event is a fun approach to achieving your goals and improving your fitness.

To reward you for your hard work you will receive a medal and a Stroke Association T-Shirt to wear with pride on the day [runners can also choose to upgrade their T-shirt for a technical running vest for an additional £5].

Stroke is the UK’s third biggest killer and the leading cause of adult disability. By signing up for Resolution Run, taking regular exercise and following a healthier lifestyle, you will be reducing your own chances of having a stroke in the future.
